Summer shouldn’t mean that good mane days are in the past. It’s that dreaded time of the year when the temperature rises, the weather becomes humid and there are no good hair days in sight.

Dry hair absorbs moisture when exposed to humidity, causing it to swell and the cuticles to split, which results in frizzy hair. Follow these simple tricks to avoid becoming frazzled by the frizz...

SATIN SCRUNCHIES

Wearing a satin scrunchie can help prevent your hair from getting frizzy as it won’t disrupt the natural hair fibres and adds additional gentleness, banning risk of snaps and breakages. It will also help improve the shine and thickness of your hair.

FOIL OUT THE FRIZZINESS

It might sound crazy but don't knock it until you've tried it! Smooth frizzy ends and make hair look sleek by rubbing a piece of aluminium foil along the length of their hair. To try this, divide your hair in half. Slightly scrunch up the foil and wrap it over one section of your hair, pulling it down its entire length and repeat on either side. This hack is likely to give you immediate results with no fuss.

COOL RINSE

On hair wash days after shampoo and conditioner, switch your shower to cold and hold your hair under it for as long as you can! This helps to retain natural oils and sebum, which keeps the scalp and hair hydrated. Moreover, they stimulate hair follicles which can encourage hair growth.

REPLACE YOUR TOWEL WITH A SPA SCRUNCHIE

Fight the frizz the moment you get out of the shower. Replace your heavy cotton towels, which are too harsh on fragile damp strands and can lead to frizz and breakage, with a Spa Scrunchie. Gently squeeze out the moisture then twist wet hair into a bun and secure, leave your scrunchie to do all the work by soaking up the excess water and stop frizz from forming.
