Introduction: The Sustainable Superwomen Series

It’s been about 10 years since I first thought about starting a blog and I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to pull my finger out and actually do it. For years I’ve procrastinated and wondered what content I’d be able to come up with, and whether people would even be interested in what I have to say.

But over the last year, building my sustainable fashion brand Jeneral Store, I’ve realised that it’s vital for me to have a voice, and as the face of the brand, I’m going to start documenting mine (and many other sustainable superwomen’s journeys).

So for those who don't know me, my name is Jen and I am the founder of Jeneral Store, a brand dedicated to celebrating the new out of something deemed as old. I source vintage and sustainable fashion from across the globe, giving pieces a new lease of life from my Manchester studio before posting out to new loving homes.

My business is my baby, and it's still very young. I started out in summer 2019 hosting clothing swaps in Manchester city centre, which we still regularly host. I've been so lucky to meet dozens of influential people through running clothes swap events, which got me thinking about how I can bring all of these inspirational thoughts and opinions together in one place.

I’d therefore like to introduce to you, The Sustainable Superwomen Series. A growing library of interviews from inspiring women all resetting the rhythm of fashion. Each week will welcome a new enthusiasts story, sharing experiences, tips, advice and knowledge.

If you’d like to be featured in the series or would like to suggest someone, please register your interest by emailing me at jen@ajeneralstore.com

By sharing more, choosing sustainable and acting together, we really can change the world.
